CO2 labeling

The obligation to include the label relating to the carbon dioxide emission class of vehicles (CO2 label) in advertisements was introduced by the law of 22 August 2021 known as the “Climate and Resilience Law” , Decree No. 2021-1840 of 28 December 2021 relating to the scope of application and the order relating to the methods of presenting the label.
The energy label must be included in all advertising for a private car.
All media except radio and digital audio are concerned.

The CO2 label does not have to be included in advertising for commercial vehicles, two or three-wheel motor vehicles, quadricycles or used vehicles, nor does it have to be used to promote or simply present a model that has not yet been approved (concept car).
